I hate to namedrop but did you know that I've been trained by Oprah Winfrey's personal makeup artist, Ross Burton?!!!! I love working with darker and Asian skins, a bolder colour palette can look breathtaking if done properly. Here is Alecia Cotterell, a model from Friday night's fashion show. Gorgeous or what?!! A little Beyonce-esque don't you think? These pics are post production too, my photographer friend Richard Leng hasn't even touched them yet!

Rags & Muffins Fashion Show makeup designs

Been busy last week working on some designs for a really cool fashion show to support local charity, A Way Out. The fundraiser event was called Rags & Muffins and my design brief was "wild"!!!

I chose to go kind of primal, feline, big cat accents with a fresh matt complexion to give the perfect backdrop to a pretty intense eye look.

I totally need to get some proper art supplies tho, the colours should be much more vibrant to reflect the actual look. Can't quite get that intensity of colour from my two year old daughter's colouring pencils! The intention was there tho!

What better day to start a life of dedicated and passionate blogging about all things to do with makeup! There's a sense of optimism in the air in the UK today, the Olympics are finally here with the opening ceremony tonight. Hoorah, how exciting!
